The Mouzalas Azevedo project began in 2001, when Rinaldo Mouzalas, a young lawyer looking to bring a more dynamic, efficient and modern profile to the legal profession in Paraíba, invited other lawyers to join the firm, including Valberto Azevedo, who joined shortly afterwards. In the following years, Amanda Luna, Daniel Azevedo and Larissa Antônia also became equity partners.
In 2012, the firm began to focus on its management and strengthening an organizational culture based on sustainable guidelines for continuous process improvement, innovation in technologies, as well as permanent technical updating of its team. That same year, Rinaldo Mouzalas played an important role in the committee reviewing the Code of Civil Procedure.
As part of its internalization project, in 2015 the firm opened its Sousa office, in partnership with Melo, Fernandes & Vasconcelos, and the following year, in order to better serve Mouzalas Azevedo's constituents, it opened its Campina Grande office.
For its work aligned with good practices, in 2018 it received the Lúmen Award in the social responsibility category. The award nationally highlights projects that have had a positive impact on society. And in 2019, with a change in its corporate structure and brand repositioning, it changed its former name, Mouzalas, Borba & Azevedo Advogados Associados, to Mouzalas Azevedo Advocacia.
In order to meet its clients' demands more effectively, it expanded its team of specialists by area of law and, in 2022, moved to a larger headquarters that is better adapted to digital connections. Encouraging associations and supporting entrepreneurship are positions vigorously defended by the firm, and as a result, it was recently awarded an honorable mention from the Paraíba Commercial Association.
Today, with more than 20 years of experience, Mouzalas Azevedo has a bold commercial profile and a strong reputation in the national market, always seeking and striving for the best results for our clients and good relations in the legal environment.
