Impersonating a bank employee, the scammer calls the victim to ask if they have lent their card to anyone, then claims that their card has been cloned. He says that in order to solve the problem he needs the victim's details, such as ID, CPF and even the card's password. Finally, it says that the victim will have to write a letter asking for the card to be canceled, seal it with the card and wait for a "bank official" to come and collect it.

Attention!!!

1. Never pass on your password or any sensitive information by phone, text message or e-mail.

2. Never give your card to anyone you don't know.

3. Check beforehand via the bank's app if there are any undue charges on your card.

4. To be more sure, go to your bank branch.
