Health insurance covers equine therapy and music therapy. See the cases.

A decision by the Supreme Court confirmed that equine therapy (rehabilitation based on neurophysiology using the movement patterns of a horse's gait) and music therapy (the use of music to treat, rehabilitate or prevent health and well-being) are compulsorily covered by health insurance companies for beneficiaries with global developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder.
It is important to note that a doctor's prescription is required to request cover for these therapies. However, even for the beneficiaries mentioned above, the court ruled out the obligation to cover psycho-pedagogy in school and home environments.
